Maya Schulefand

Chief of Staff

Maya is a veteran television producer and creative strategist with over a decade of experience delivering compelling unscripted content for global audiences. She has worked on high-profile productions such as American Idol, America’s Got Talent, The Bachelorette and Beast Games, with major networks including NBC, Netflix, ABC and Amazon Prime Video. A UCLA graduate in Communication Studies, Maya brings deep expertise in storytelling, live production and team leadership.

Elisa Silaba

Director of Development and Operations

Elisa Silaba leads fundraising, manages strategic partnerships, and oversees key aspects of program growth. With a background in international business and psychology, she coordinates TLVi’s influencer labs, develops donor relationships, and builds the infrastructure needed to sustain and expand the organization’s impact.

Noa Galimidi

Senior Content Writer

Noa is a skilled content writer with a strong foundation in art history and communication, blending creative insight with strategic storytelling. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Art History from the prestigious École du Louvre in Paris, as well as a Master’s degree in Communication from CELSA, Paris.

With professional experience at Christie’s Paris, Noa brings a refined cultural perspective and exceptional communication skills that enrich any creative team. Her French background and academic expertise enable her to craft engaging, nuanced content that resonates with diverse, international audiences.

David Scherzer

Social Media Manager

Writer, storyteller, and social media specialist, David Scherzer, is on a mission to amplify Jewish voices. A grandson of Holocaust survivors, David proudly wears his Jewish faith on his sleeve in his role as Social Media Manager at The Tel Aviv Institute. David’s career began as an in-house ad agency copywriter before shifting into a variety of leadership roles, guiding social media teams across industries including non-profit, healthcare, apparel, and hospitality.

In a post–October 7th world, David’s work has become about more than just alignment — it’s about his Jewish identity. He now draws on over a decade of experience in social media, journalism, and content strategy to continue growing TLVi’s digital footprint.
